The Reverend Carol Breimeier

Associate to the Bishop

Pr. Breimeier came to the Metropolitan Chicago Synod office from Redeemer, Park Ridge, where she served for a little over seven years as co-pastor with her husband, Fred Nelson. Redeemer was her first call, following many years of graduate theological study, child-rearing, and editorial work. Carol was born and raised in suburban St. Louis and went to Valparaiso University for a BA in English and theology. She earned an MA in English from the University of Chicago, and went on to study theology at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, with a focus on systematic theology.  Carol lives in Park Ridge, where Fred continues as pastor of Redeemer.
